The life of the Turners: Ryan, Julie, Ethan, Drew and Elise

Wow. Can't believe my little Ethan turned 4 today. LOTS and LOTS of memories with my little man (not so little anymore). Thought I'd help celebrate his day by looking back over the past four years in pictures....must admit it took me HOURS to go through all our pictures and narrow it down. I feel SO incredibly blessed to have such a wonderful son. He has the BIGGEST heart for others. Yes, times get frustrating (previous post!), but looking through the pictures from the past years made me really realize how much my life has been blessed by this life God has placed in mine.

It has been a DAY. You know it's been a bad, stressful, trying day when this is what you're drinking at 3:00 in the afternoon...

Phew. The boys both went off to preschool yesterday. I have to admit I had major anxiety building up for Drew Drew's first day. Ethan went to school last year and has never had a problem making friends, going into a new setting, etc. So there was NO anxiety over him whatsoever this year. HOWEVER, my Drew is a whole different story. It took about a year for him to not get called out of the church nursery every Sunday because he did not want to be there and was crying. Needless to say, with school being four hours compared to the one hour that church is, I was almost positive we were going to have some major crying and phone calls from his teacher. THANK GOODNESS Drew has the same teacher Ethan had last year, so she had been fully warned (and witnessed first hand the very "strong and passionate" personality he can possess at times at some of Ethan's functions last year). We tried to hype up school to him big-time...making him feel super special and like a big boy. I knew once he got over the whole seperation-anxiety thing he would LOVE it like Ethan did. We took him to get new shoes just for school (he needed them anyways!).....he got a special haircut given by Grammy the week before.....he helped me make his lunch for school and even got to put his lunchbox into his backpack...etc. Well......this is video of me dropping the boys off at school the first morning.

Saw this video on cnn.com today. Pretty amazing...check out the link below.
So you know when you're in a new group setting and they ask you for your most embarassing moment ever? I never really had a good one. I would fumble and say "I don't have one", and pretty much mean it. I know I've had situations that are embarassing, but they aren't etched into my brain to pull out randomly in those scenarios (I guess that's a good thing?!?). Well, I had a moment the other day that I will NEVER forget. It was a major OOPS moment.
